CCS - Sakura, Tomoyo, and the WAVE Ch. 4

Chapter 4

The next thing Sakura and Tomoyo knew is that they are surrounds by air bubbles when they enter the water, Sakura had her eyes closed the whole time because she was scared.  Then after a few seconds in, the air bubbles stopped and both girls touch the bottom.  Sakura stood there with her eyes closed when she hears Tomoyo’s voice.

Tomoyo: It’s alright; you can open your eyes now, Sakura-chan.

Sakura took Tomoyo’s word and slowly open her eyes up and sees that she is underwater and couldn't believe her eyes.  She then turns her head to Tomoyo as Tomoyo tries to speak, but her voice comes from the speakers once again.

Tomoyo: Everything is working for me, is everything okay with you as well?

Sakura: Then tries to breathe and she was able to do so and exhaled as well.  Then Sakura didn’t know what to feel when she realized that she is breathing underwater.  Sakura then slowly gets excited as she squawks a little then jumps upwards.

Sakura: WA-HOO!!

Sakura then turns her body in a 360 as she looks at the underwater scenery.   

Sakura: This is amazing!  I’ve never seen anything like it.

She then turns around and looks at Tomoyo.

Sakura: What do you think of this Tomoy...

Sakura then froze in place are she noticed that Tomoyo is holding her camera and was recording her.  Tomoyo looks very happy.

Sakura: Tomoyo-chan…how long where you recording that…

Tomoyo: The entire time.

Sakura’s face went red instantly as she turns away to hide her face from Tomoyo.  Tomoyo then looks up and inform Sakura of what she sees.

Tomoyo: Sakura-chan, a wave is coming!

Sakura then stops and looks up as well as a wave is indeed coming towards them.

Sakura: AH, we better hold on to something quick.

Both girls look for something to hold on to but couldn’t find anything.  So then the wave comes over their bodies and passes over them and Sakura and Tomoyo didn’t feel anything.  Sakura and Tomoyo then get confused.

Tomoyo: That’s strange, usually when a wave passes over someone, we should have been push back to shore a little bit.

Sakura: I think I know why.   The wave that passed us didn’t feel right, I’m sensing that the wave has some strange aura around it.  It felt like that wave as been created by another means.

Tomoyo: You can sense the presence now?

Sakura: Yeah, now that I’m underwater I’m definitely sensing something, so this is a work of a Clow Card after all.

Tomoyo: Do you know where the card is?

Sakura: Give me a second.

Sakura then swims a little bit away from Tomoyo and closes her eyes.  A few seconds have passed.

Sakura: …it’s no good.

Tomoyo swims to Sakura as Sakura opens her eye and looks to Tomoyo.

Tomoyo: You can’t find it?

Sakura: It’s not that, I do sense a small presence, however the presence is everywhere and I can’t get tell where it is exactly.

Tomoyo: Well then, I guess we have to search the area.

Sakura: Alright then, how are we going to do it?

Tomoyo points to the line of rocks.

Tomoyo: If I remember correctly, the waves are the most powerful between the two rows of rocks, so I’m guessing that the Card is somewhere in between.  So I say we follow the rock so that we can go around it and search there.

Sakura: Okay, let’s go.

So the search began, as Tomoyo said, first they follow the trail of rocks until they find where the trail stops.  They then went around it and decide to split up so that they can cover more ground between the two lines of rocks.  They both started searching for the Clow Card and at times they would get distracted by cute fishes and other stuff under the sea.  They both tried to focus on the goal, but at times they can’t help it.  At one point, Sakura was thinking of where to look next when she looked down and saw  a blowfish is near her…

Sakura: HOOEEEE!?

Tomoyo hear Sakura’s scream and looks around for her.

Tomoyo: Sakura-chan, what’s…

Tomoyo stops her sentence as she sees Sakura swiming towards her at high speeds.  Then Sakura hid behind Tomoyo’s back as Tomoyo turns her head around.

Tomoyo: What’s wrong?

Sakura then points straight forward as Tomoyo looks where she was pointing as she sees the blowfish Sakura was scared about.

Tomoyo: Huh, I didn’t know we had that type of fish around here.

Tomoyo then turns back to Sakura.

Tomoyo: It may take longer if we stay together, but do you want to search together.

Sakura then shakes her head up and down.

Sometime later…

Sakura and Tomoyo search high and low between the beach and where the two row of rocks ended but they couldn’t find the WAVE, they are at the edge of the open sea thinking what to do next.

Sakura: This isn’t good; we can’t find the card anywhere.

Tomoyo: And the only areas we haven’t checked are out there...

Tomoyo then points to the open sea.

Tomoyo: ...but there no way we can find it at this rate.

Sakura then starts to think.

Sakura: There’s got to be an easier way to find the card.

Meanwhile Tomoyo is recording Sakura thinking.

Tomoyo:  You’ll find a way, I believe in you.

Sakura turns to Tomoyo.

Sakura: Do you think so…wait.

Sakura then points to Tomoyo’s camera.

Sakura: You can zoom in with that camera right?

Tomoyo: Yes.

Sakura: Do you think you can check this area right here with your camera.

Sakura points to the open sea as Tomoyo gets what Sakura is saying.

Tomoyo: That’s a wonderful idea Sakura-chan, sure.

And so Tomoyo did just that.  She looks at her camera and goes from left to right to the open sea with the zoom on high.

Sakura: You found anything?

Tomoyo: I don’t see anything yet…that’s strange.

Tomoyo then suddenly stops somewhere in the middle...

Sakura: Do you see something.

Tomoyo: …I’m not sure, it just gotten blurry all of the sudden.

Tomoyo then moves her camera around to double check something.

Tomoyo:  The strange thing is that camera is working normally, but it gets blurry when it’s pointing out in this direction.

Sakura: I’m not following you.

Tomoyo: Maybe it would be better if you see it yourself.

Sakura swims to Tomoyo as she pulls the video out of the camera so that Sakura can see it.  The camera is a little blurry as Tomoyo said, she then moved the camera around and it wasn’t blurry anymore until she pointed back to the spot.

Sakura: Is the camera working alright?

Tomoyo: This camera is design to work underwater but it hasn’t done this before.

Then all of the sudden the camera screen gotten even blurrier.

Tomoyo: Huh, now it's blurrier than before.

The instant that the camera gotten blurrier, Sakura suddenly feels something.

Sakura: (The presence…I can sense it all of the sudden…and it’s getting bigger…)

Sakura then looks at the where the camera is pointing and Sakura sees something that makes her eyes smaller.

Tomoyo: Is it camera really malfunctioning or…

Then without warning, Sakura grabs Tomoyo’s hand.

Sakura: TOMOYO-CHAN. MOVE!

Sakura then swims Tomoyo to a nearby rock pillar and hide behind it, and then a stream of water then burst through the ocean missing Sakura and Tomoyo thanks to Sakura’s quick thinking.  Sakura was relieved that they were able to dodge the stream and Tomoyo wonders what just happened.

 Tomoyo: Sakura-chan, what just happened?

Sakura then peek behind the rocks to the open sea.

Sakura: I think we found it.

It’s a little far away, but Sakura can see a blur like thing coming closer to both Sakura and Tomoyo, Tomoyo peeked from behind the pillar and sees it as well.

Tomoyo: What is that?

Sakura: I’m sensing an aura around it and it’s the same as the waves I sensed earlier; no mistaken it, it’s the WAVE card!

The WAVE card then comes closer and closer to the pillar, then the WAVE stops in it's place.  A few seconds later it shoots another stream of towards the pillar and crashes into it.  Sakura and Tomoyo then reacted to the pillar being hit.  The WAVE then fires several more.

Sakura: (This isn’t good, if we stay like this…)

Sakura then looks at Tomoyo who looks worried as Sakura becomes concerned; then her face becomes serious.

Sakura: I’m going to see if I can get close to it…

Sakura then removes the strap in her left arm where the key is and holds it out in front of her.

Sakura: Key that holds the power of darkness, relieve you true form before me…

A magic circle then appeared under Sakura’s feet.

Sakura: …I, Sakura, command you under our contract…

Sakura: RELEASE!!

The key that Sakura holds in her hand is glowing bright and transforms into the Sealing Wand.  She grabs the wand and twirls around with it and strike the finishing pose.  With the Sealing Wand in hand she turns around to Tomoyo.

Sakura: …you stay here, okay Tomoyo-chan.

Tomoyo: …be careful.

Sakura nods her head toward Tomoyo.

As soon as the blast was finished, Sakura then swim out of the pillar and head toward the WAVE.  The WAVE noticed that Sakura is charging in and the WAVE changes targets.  The WAVE then fires several streams at Sakura, Sakura was able to dodge them but it is getting harder and harder to dodge as she gets closer.  Sakura was able to dodge three of The WAVE's attacks as The WAVE then prepares another charged shot and Sakura is ready for it; however, the WAVE only charged it half way and quickly fire the stream.  Sakura notice that the stream is fired and tries to avoid it, but part of the stream hit her as she loses balance because of it.  Since only a small part in her, she was able to recover her balance but as soon as she did so, the WAVE is charge another attack.

Sakura: (Oh no, I can’t dodge it at this distance!)

Sakura then pulls card from her back and throws it forward as the WAVE fires a big stream this time.  Sakura then uses her Sealing Wand to activate the card.

Sakura: SHIELD!

A barrier appears around Sakura and the stream hit the shield, and the stream when around the shield as it was able to defend Sakura.  Sakura then rested herself a little bit and looks straight at the WAVE and she can see what it looks like.  The WAVE card has a lady like body with a scarf around her shoulders and arms, and she is transparent like the water around her.  Her face is also lady like as she gives Sakura a small evil smile.  The WAVE then twirls her finger around to create an energy like sphere made up of the water around the WAVE and with her hand fires the sphere to Sakura which then turn into stream of water and it hit Sakura’s shield.  She does it again and again in hopes to break Sakura’s shield.  Sakura is still resting inside the shield as she thinks what to do next.

Sakura: (This isn’t good, I’m close to the card but I can’t capture it like this.  What card could I use…WINDY…no…FIREY…no…SHADOW…no.  I'm not sure if I can use these cards underwater, what should it do...)

Just then, she hears Tomoyo’s voice on the radio.

Tomoyo: Sakura-chan, the shield’s breaking! 

Sakura then stops thinking and does notice that the shield is about to break.  Part of Sakura’s magic is connects to how confident she is in battle.  When her confidence is lower, so would the cards power.  And because of this the shields defense is getting weaker and is about to break.  The WAVE then charges her attack that looks to be enough to break the shield.

Sakura: (This is bad.  I have to get out of here!)

Sakura then turns around and tries to swim away, but the moment she did that, the WAVE fired the stream and break the shield and Sakura gets caught in the stream and sends her flying away from the WAVE.

Sakura: AAHHHHH!!!

Tomoyo: SAKURA-CHAN!!
